Air Nootka Ltd. was incorporated in 1981, and currently operates two types of floatplanes. These aircraft, a Cessna 185 and two De Havilland Beavers, are meticulously maintained and inspected.  All our pilots have extensive flying experience on the West Coast.

Air Nootka takes pride in providing the best service to new and longtime customers. As we are positioned on Vancouver Island’s west coast, and weather conditions in the mountain passes to the east are sometimes unpredictable, it is then less likely to cause flight delays. Consequently, if you are travelling to or from Nootka or Kyuquot sounds, the probability you will reach your port of call is better if you fly with us. We can move your group to west coast communities, sea kayaking and sport fishing lodges, or popular hiking trails more efficiently from our Gold River base.
